HCG

Overview

Human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) is a glycoprotein hormone that shares structural and functional similarities with luteinizing hormone (LH). Research has examined hCG extensively in relation to reproductive endocrinology, gonadal function, and the LH/CG receptor pathway.

Experimental and clinical research has examined hCG in both male and female reproductive systems, including studies of gonadal steroid production, follicular maturation, ovulation, and reproductive function. Findings should be interpreted according to the study population, experimental conditions, and specific endpoints being measured.
